36L (L6) Separator Specifications
Fully welded pressure vessel fabricated to ASME Code Section VIII Division 1 with stamp. No serviceable or moving components — requires zero maintenance.
Separates entrained droplets and particles larger than 10 microns in diameter with 99% efficiency.
Horizontal installation: Maximum separation rate is equivalent to 5% of its maximum rated mass flow capacity and will not separate liquid slugs.
Vertical installation (downward flow): Maximum separation rate is equivalent to 20% of its maximum rated mass flow capacity and will separate liquid slugs.
The required separator size is determined by vessel length and diameter, not necessarily by the pipeline size. Nozzles are sized to match the pipeline into which the separator is installed.
Typically manufactured from pipe; can also be fabricated from rolled plate. Standard materials are carbon steel, 304L stainless steel and 316L stainless steel. Other alloys are available when required. Common customizations include support legs, additional ports and non-flanged connections.
